THE SOUND OF YOUR ESCAPE

Custom rock
pool waterfalls.

Bring movement, texture and the sound of flowing water to your pool. A hand-sculpted waterfall creates a focal point that feels at home in the landscape.

Rock pool waterfall with multiple cascades, a grotto and integrated evening lighting

A waterfall shaped around your pool

A waterfall changes more than the view. Its placement affects what you hear from the patio, how the pool feels from inside the water, and how the feature connects to the rest of your yard. We start with those everyday experiences, then develop the rock forms and water paths around them.

Bedrock Poolscapes creates artificial rock by hand, giving us control over the ledges, crevices and proportions. The goal is a cohesive feature with natural character, sized for your property rather than selected from a mould.

From a corner cascade to a layered focal point

A compact corner waterfall can introduce moving water without dominating a rectangular pool. Wider cascades can follow the edge of a curved pool, while tiered ledges create separate streams and changing water sounds. We consider the view from the house as well as the pool deck.

Lighting can highlight the rock texture and water after sunset. If you are imagining a larger feature, a pool grotto or rock slide can be considered as part of the initial layout.

Adding a waterfall to an existing pool

For a retrofit, we review the space behind the coping, the deck and pool structure, access for construction, and the equipment that will supply the waterfall. An existing pump or return connection is not automatically suitable; the water flow and plumbing need to match the design.

For a new pool, early coordination with your pool builder makes it easier to plan the feature foundation, plumbing routes and surrounding deck before those areas are finished.

What shapes the investment?

The main cost drivers are the footprint and height, amount of sculpted rock, foundation and site preparation, access, water delivery and lighting. Changes to an existing deck or landscape can also affect the scope.

Send us a wide pool photo, your approximate available space and your budget. We can discuss the type of waterfall that makes sense, then develop a project-specific quote once the requirements are understood.

PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE

Pool waterfalls: your questions

Can you control how loud the waterfall is?

The width of the spillway, height of the drop, water flow and landing point all affect sound. Tell us whether you want a gentle background cascade or a more prominent waterfall. We consider that preference during design.

Does a waterfall need a separate pump?

It depends on the flow required and the existing pool equipment. Some designs may integrate with suitable equipment; others need a dedicated pump or additional plumbing. That decision follows an equipment and layout review.

How do I look after a rock waterfall?

Keep the pool water balanced, remove debris from water paths and inspect the surface and equipment regularly. Cleaning products and maintenance should suit the finish. We discuss care requirements for the installed feature.

What happens in winter?

Waterfall plumbing and equipment need appropriate winterization before freezing weather. The drainage and shutdown procedure depend on the installed system and should be coordinated with your pool closing service.
